    1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

6 Ways to Honor God with Our Bodies

    1. Movement – Move your body. There are many reasons why, but cardiovascular health, musculoskeletal strength, oxygenation, mental and emotional well-being are only a few.
    2. Hydration – Drink more water. “Water plays a role in energy production, is needed for our bodies to excrete waste properly and regulates our body temperature,” says Char-Lee Cassel MS RDN ACSM-CEP
    3. Nutrition – Eat healthy foods. Choose nutrient-dense foods to get the vitamins and minerals the body needs to function properly. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, legumes, and good proteins and fats from fish, animal and plant sources.
    4. Healthcare – See your doctor. Be proactive about your health by going to your primary care provider for regular check-ups and exams, as well as when something is wrong. Ask questions, get answers and follow doctor’s orders.
    5. Stress Less – Reduce daily stress. Stress exists in many forms for many people. It is important to identify stressors and take action to remove them as much as possible. Take self-care measures to lower your stress levels. “It is beneficial to take the time to recognize where stress is coming from in our lives and then create a plan to eliminate it or manage it as best we can,” Cassel said.
    6. Binge Less – Moderation is key. Maintain balance in your life by avoiding binge-behaviors that manifest negatively. “Some examples include; electronics, alcohol, food, TV, coffee, social media, work, exercise, Netflix, etc. Enjoying a cup of coffee, a glass of wine or an episode on Netflix is not a problem, the problems come when we binge on those things,” Cassel explained
